JR Shikoku developed class Kikuha32 open truck veheicle with wooden benches
in 1997, since "Seiryu (clear stream) Shimanto" open truck train
service on Yodo line gets good reputation.
The vehicle design incorporates a single cab, having 16m long steel open
truck construction body. It is not equipped with a traction engine or hydraulic
transmission gears and is opeated with Kiha54 or Kiha185 diesel muiltiple
unit. Bogies are TR51C which disused vehicles were equipped with. Kihiha32-502
built in 2003 have several parts of wall and floor made of tempered glass
considering Great Seto Bridge connecting Okayama and Kagawa prefectures
across a series of five small islands in the Seto Inland Sea.
Passenger accommodation adopts tables and seating made of fireproofing
wood.
Kikuha32 is used on "Anpanman" open truck services, and so on. |
