JR East delivered additional batch of Kiha111/112-100 cars for Suigun line in 1994. The additional Kiha111/112-100 differ from original Kiha111/112-100 vehicles in having extended cab section to provide additional crash protection, and sliding doors. They were classified into -150 sub-class. Passenger accommodation consists of 1+2 abreast facing seating bays in the centre of each car, and longitudinal bench seating at the ends of cars. The ticket machine, which put the ticket indicates the boarding station, is located at the boarding doors. The fare display and the fare box are located behind the motorman's cab. Kiha111-150 are also equipped with a Japanese style toilet.
2 sets of Kiha111/112-150 were delivered. In 2007, they were assigned to
Kamaishi line following the introduction of new KiHaE130 DMUs on the Suigun
Line. A set of Kiha111/112-150 was relocated to Kogota depot. |
